Morning Call
A Colour Pencil and 23cGold leaf painting of a Red deer Stag, calling early morning. The inspiration for this piece was a very early morning trip into the New Forest in late October. With frost on the ground I watched and photographed as the sun rose and the deer came into view. A huge stag calling and protecting his girls. Such an amazing sight. I just had to paint it .
